Founded in 1991 by Allan Lundeen, Southern Septic Service began with septic tank services
inspired by the success of Allan’s father in Drain, Oregon. Over the years, the business expanded
to include portable toilet rentals, serving homes, businesses, and public agencies like the US
Forest Service and Oregon Department of Forestry in support of firefighting efforts.
Following Allan’s unexpected passing in 2020, his daughters took up the mantle to continue the
business. Amanda Hayes and her family worked tirelessly over two years to sustain operations,
ultimately relocating fully to Douglas County in 2021. Today, Amanda and her dedicated staff
continue to provide reliable septic, grease trap, and portable restroom services to the community.

Southern Septic Service was founded in 1991 by Allan Lundeen. Allan chose this business after seeing the success his father had with his septic business in Drain, Oregon. After many years of success with servicing septic tanks Allan added portable toilet rentals to the business. He provided service for many years to Douglas County including to the US Forest Service and Oregon Department of Forestry in support of firefighting efforts. Upon his unexpected passing in 2020 his daughters made the decision to continue the business.
Amanda Hayes and her family made the trip back and forth from Klamath Falls for nearly 2 years, working to help the business continue. They were able to fully relocate to Douglas County in late 2021. Amanda continues to provide service to Douglas County with the help of their wonderful staff.
